Students and families of students who are interested in attending a vocational school for high school should reach out to Guidance Counselor Kristen Consolini at kconsolini@cbrsd.org or 684-0780, ext. 2184. There is an application process with strict deadlines that need to be followed.
There are 3 vocational schools in our area: Smith Vocational, McCann Technical, and Taconic. Please note that many of the towns in our district have town-preferred schools. This means that students from certain towns must apply to their town's preferred vocational school, unless the student is interested in a specific program only offered at a specific school.

The Central Berkshire Regional School Committee (“the Committee”) recognizes the right of a student residing in any of the seven towns that together constitute the Central Berkshire Regional School District (CBRSD) to attend a training school in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in accordance with M.G.L. c. 74, § 7.

Please note, a Non-Resident Tuition form must be completed and signed for each school. Each vocational school has their own process.
Smith- Mails a yellow Non-Resident Tuition form once a student applies. Part I needs to be completed and submitted to CBRSD Central Office by March 25th (state deadline April 1st). Please submit as soon as possible.
McCann- Mails a Non-Resident Tution form if a student is accepted. Part I needs to be completed and submitted to CBRSD Central Office by March 25th. Please submit as soon as possible.
